10 Architectural/Design Considerations for Running in the Azure Cloud
You and your organization have started to research Windows Azure and you are getting ready to create an application for the cloud, or move an existing application to the cloud.  Great and congratulations!  There are many reasons for deploying to the cloud and presumably you have studied the possible ROI and found it to be in your favor.  Before you start writing or porting code to Azure, there are potential impacts to your application's architecture and design.  Even if your current ASP.NET application is running like a charm, there are some things you are probably going to want to tweek before you run in the cloud.  In this talk, you get a check list of some leading architecture/design impacts that you might want to explore before setting out on a large Azure development effort.

Getting a Handle on Azure: Diagnostic & Management
Developing for the cloud does take a slightly different mindset.  While most of your current skills with .NET will simply transfer to the cloud, there are some considerations when working with Microsoft Windows Azure.  In this presentation we will talk about the basics of how to manage your Azure applications in the cloud beyond using the Portal website and how to determine what’s going on when things go wrong.  We’ll cover using PowerShell and other command line tools, how the diagnostics manager works and how to get your performance/logging data out of the cloud.
